Overview

Username Foundation has been established by Username Investment Limited with an objective of offering secondary school scholarship to needy but bright K.C.P.E candidates from public primary schools.

Qualifications to be a beneficiary

  • The trust will have gender equality and will sponsor both Boys and Girls
  • There will be a cut off marks of 350 out of the possible total 500 marks for the K.C.P.E examinations.
  • We will offer scholarships to needy and bright students.
  • The background of the needy student, we will consider needy students from the following background history:
    • Orphan students who have no able or willing relatives to fund their secondary school education.
    • Needy students whose guardians are living with disabilities and are unable to provide completely for the education of the child.
    • Students whose parents have chronic illnesses hence are from an economically disadvantaged background.

The selection/ vetting process

  • The applicants should have met all the terms and conditions. Terms and Conditions
  • There will be interviews sessions for the applicant’s prior enrollment.
  • The Foundation will visit the applicant’s homes/ schools before they are enrolled to the program.

The program will carter for:

  1. Tuition fee up-to form 4
  2. Books up-to form 4
  3. School uniforms up-to form 4
  4. Academic accessories throughout the entire stay in High school
  5. Transport and pocket money up-to form 4
  6. Academic trips

Other Benefits

  • There will be a luncheon where all the beneficiaries meet with Username Investment Ltd. Directors for enrolment orientation before the program kicks off.
  • Mentorship and Career guides – This will be held twice a year
  • Attending academic days in school for the monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the students in that academic term.
  • Attending visiting days and major events
  • Life skills workshops for the students annually.
  • We will have one major trip per for the beneficiaries to destinations in Kenya.

Monitoring and evaluation

  • The students are supposed to share reports cards for the filing and evaluations to be done.
  • We will be involved during the academic days during the academic term to get a one on one session with the teachers and the beneficiaries during the academic term in school and through their entire stay in secondary school.
  • Keep in contact with teachers for follow ups on the progress.
